If you’d like to move your Individual Investing account, Joint account, or IRA (Traditional or Roth) directly to another firm, you’ll need to initiate the transfer with your new brokerage. This article explains the steps you’ll need to take, what fees to expect, how to handle non-transferable assets, and how to make sure your transfer goes smoothly.

## **Fees**

* **Outgoing transfer fee:** $100 per account.

* **IRA closure fee:** Additional $100 per IRA account.

**Example:** If you transfer both your Roth IRA and Individual Investing account, you’ll need $200 available in your Roth IRA and $100 in your Individual Investing account ($300 total).
_Note: There are no transfer fees if you liquidate your account directly to your linked bank. However, IRA closures still carry the $100 closing fee._

##
**Timeline**

Transfers are processed in batches and usually take about **1–2 weeks** once initiated.

##
**What Transfers Over**

* **Whole shares**: Will transfer to your new firm.

* **Partial shares**: Will be liquidated to cash and sent separately to your new firm within 1–2 weeks.

##
**Preparing for a Transfer**

1. **Maintain the required cash balance.**

    * $100 in cash for all accounts.

    * $200 in cash for IRAs (to cover the closure fee as well, if making a full transfer).

2. **Check for non-transferable assets.**

    * Some assets (like Titan Treasury or interval funds such as ARK Venture, Apollo Real Estate, or Carlyle Credit) may not transfer.

    * Only the receiving firm can confirm what they can accept. Provide them with a recent Titan account statement to check.

3. **If you hold non-transferable assets, you have three options:**

    * Transfer to a firm that supports the asset.

    * Liquidate to cash before transferring (note: interval funds may delay transfers because of liquidity rules).

    * Request a partial transfer and keep those assets with Titan.

4. **Open the correct account type at your new firm.**Make sure the type matches (e.g., Roth IRA → Roth IRA). Incorrect account types will result in a rejected transfer.
